I was getting depressed with my site being SO black. Because of this, I decided to browse through some of the stock themes on IND-Web.com’s Blogging Platform. In the end I settled on one called Ocean Wide. I had to tweak it a little bit due to the author’s use of his own version of the jQuery JavaScript library instead of the version that everyone else uses that comes with easy invocation and dependency tracking by WordPress itself.
While I’m awake in the small hours again, I have been looking over my site and realised that I’ve not posted any details about the image I’m using for my header. That is, the sunset you see at the top of this very page. Well, it was taken on a Sony Ericsson Mobile Telephone (I forget the model). I took the photo myself at the top of a hill just outside Kingsclere in the north of Hampshire on the border of Berkshire (or maybe it’s just inside Berkshire, I’m not sure).
So I managed to turn my snazzy HTC Magic into something as useful as a brick, that can’t be used for building with. Hint, if you’re gonna flash a new SPL to your own rooted HTC Magic, then make sure it’s compatible because if you get the wrong file you’re screwed! Also make sure you’ve done your homework and do things in the correct order. I’m unsure whether I flashed the wrong image, or if I required the radio update to have been flashed before the SPL.
Zemanta is a fancy firefox plugin that enables you to scour the social web for any related articles and images which can be utilised to enhance a blog entry. Once installed, Zemanta will modify the layout of your blog’s add new post screen to give you more options. These options being relevant photos, related articles and links all of which are derived from your entry’s text as you write it.
https://www1.euro.dell.com/content/topics/segtopic.aspx/windows_or_ubuntu?c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&l=en&s=dhs You obviously choose Windows XP if you’re new to computers and do NOT WANT to learn new programs; you obviously choose ubuntu if you WANT to learn new programs for email and word processing. Ubuntu is for open source programmers only! Dell, we applaud you for your fair and even handed explanation that Linux is crap and people only use it because they’re short-sighted.
So, I’ve got the urge to write a story. I haven’t got any inspiration though, so post your comments below for ideas that I can write about. I thought about maybe a story with psychiatric overtones/undertones and any other type of tones, as that would be something that I “know”. (They always say to budding authors to “write what you know”.) The problem with writing about psychiatric events is that you have to be very careful to leave the reader satisfied rather than just depressed and upset about what they have read.
